Organic Sun Care

Better for Their Skin

Chemical vs Mineral Sunscreen.
Which one to choose?

Chemical sunscreens contain carbon-based compounds, such as oxybenzone, octinoxate, octisalate and avobenzone, which create a chemical reaction and work by changing UV rays into heat, then releasing that heat from the skin. Because chemical sunscreens penetrate the skin they may cause brown spots, discoloration and an increased risk of irritation.

Mineral sunscreens on the other hand, use active mineral ingredients such as zinc oxide and titanium oxide. They form a physical shield and reflect the sun’s rays like a mirror to protect exposed skin. They are less likely to cause skin irritations and their ingredients do not break down as readily in the sun, offering greater protection for longer, which makes them a better choice.

Organii sun care products offer a range of Mineral sunscreens that are suitable for the whole family including new born children and also individuals with sensitive skin.

Organii sun care range is also available from pharmacies across Malta and Gozo.
